girls 2015

I am very very proud and honoured to have worked with so many talented dancers over the last decade... some of which have since joined dance companies such as

ENB, Leipzig Ballet, BRB and Hong Kong Ballet to name a few!

Just as important I have enjoyed working with passionate people... Dance Forward is about inspiring everyone with the love of dance... instililng a sense of focus, drive to do your best, self discipline and also having fun with all those around you!  These are life skills that will set you in the right direction whether that leads you to a life on stage or not!

My mother once said to me "be brilliant... but do it for the benefit of others!

I will continue to do my very best with this very much in the forefront of my mind and in my quest to inspire the next generation of dancers, students and adults alike!

Sarah demonstrating how to feel the movement and telling the students at the same time!

"A huge thank you for the Dance Forward course at the Royal Opera House, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and found it incredibly rewarding and was an absolutely incredible experience. It was so inspiring being taught by such talented professionals and gaining knowledge and insight into the life of a professional dancer and the level of training that they go through. Thank you so much yet again!"

Sarah was not going to stop until she had got what she wanted... the best possible arabesque!

"I just wanted to send a huge thank you to you, Federico, Sarah and Begona for an unbelievable day at the Royal Ballet studios yesterday.

We felt very privileged to be at the venue and were made very welcome from the start. As a parent I endeavour to  watch all of my daughter's ballet classes as I have a real passion for dance however for most it isn't often you are able to sit and really appreciate the learning and the skill your child has developed over the years. My daughter Zoe started ballet at 3 and is now 16 but she only trains three times a week so she found she had to work really hard to rise to the challenges of the day. However,  she came away with a number of things she can personally work on to improve her technique and an understanding of where she needs to be with regards to strength and flexibility if she wants to pursue a career from her passion. Zoe couldn't believe that she was receiving hands on instruction from such amazing dancers and appreciated every minute of the teaching even when she was well out of her comfort zone. We will be reporting back to her dance teacher and we would very much like to book a place on the Easter course.

It goes without saying  that I will be recommending your workshops to others we know in the dance world."   Jean Snowball (parent)

Federico extending the possibilities of a young student!

"Thank you very much for the fantastic dance forward workshops. My daughter attended two out of the three and she thoroughly enjoyed them. It was superbly run, professional and of a very high standard, yet friendly and inclusive. The teaching staff were very inspiring and really assisted the youngsters in developing their technique and performance. It was also a real treat as a parent to be able to watch!"

As an ex-dancer with The Royal Ballet and soloist with the Boston Ballet I have been fortunate to work with some great choreographers and dancers around the world. Whilst dancing, I always took an active interest in sharing my passion for dance with youngsters in outreach work and indeed taught at the Boston Ballet School and Company. Read more»
